I have worked as a line manager for Carlisle Security for a number of years. The turnover of staff and management is very high.
Staff rarely stay for long as the conditions and treatment from the company is terrible and best described as an un-caring company that would rather bury its head in the sand than deal with important issues such as staff welfare and safety. The company is still set in the stone ages.
Family members and friends are favoured for employment and "appear" in vacant roles over night. Often they are not capable of undertaking their duties and speak very poor English in their high security and customer focused positions.
Rostering is undertaken by an inexperienced amateur that worked his way into his position by taking on more work than he is capable of managing or fulfilling. This means that the simplest of tasks are very often left incomplete. The management present themselves as oblivious to this as it suits them to offload their work on him to empty their own in-trays.
Issues with wages are extremely common and there is little or no support from the management structure often resulting in sending the same request 3 or 4 times only to receive a response of a solution that is rarely carried out leading to a chain of blaming one and other. Effective communication rates a 1 out of 10 at best. Professionalism rates even lower. Promises are made but are never kept. Staff are given shifts but are not put on the system for payment resulting in chasing a wage query for months on end.
There is little or no discipline amongst staff which leads to an incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional environment to work in.
Other than a good rate of pay, there is little to encourage staff to stay which is why resignation letters are being submitted on a daily basis.
Cases of improper working, fraud and dangerous business practices are continuously ignored.
A amateur company that talks a good talk but is incapable of walking the walk.
Save yourself the stress and avoid at all costs. Don't say i didn't warn you !
