Maintaining the shop floor was hectic, non-stop but full of rewarding tasks. Customers and management were vocal in their appreciation of the extra effort applied to these tasks. The management team is dedicated and inspiring in their approach to handling crunch situations during peak hours, as well as ensuring high efficiency continuously from its workforce.
I felt I surpassed my own expectations in the role as a result of receiving growing responsibility as the weeks progressed. Being tasked with cashier duties withing the first week allowed me to grow into the customer service aspect of the role and I thrived from the challenges of developing a rapport with customers while familiarising myself with TK Maxx's EPoS and service protocol, all during the company's busiest sales period.
