Reviews about Pay & Benefits for Restaurant Staff at Ikea
Nice place to work
Restaurant staff (Former Employee) – Ashton-Under-Lyne, Greater Manchester – 28 September 2017
Tasks were fairly varied given the job I had. Staff were all friendly, always felt I could ask questions if necessary. Wages were very good considering my age at the time. Management of work rotas and schedules was the main downside to the job, trying to balance shifts with college was very difficult.
Have to work every weekend which is just too much. Ikea are always banging on about how they are committed to you as a person and your needs unless it means seeing your family at weekends. Management are bullies and there is no chance of improvement and advancement unless you are a favourite, same as with wanting more hours than the basic 16 hour contract. Avoid unless you never want to have a life.
Free meals and drinks, salary and department parties.
