Fun changeable and fast paced
General Manager (Former Employee) – London, ENG – 1 February 2014
Very changeable day which made it a very enjoyable and rich day my 20 years at McDonalds flew by due to the progressive approach that was adopted. My working days were always fun and through that we espoused productivety and growth. I started in 1985 and was running my first branch within 5 years whilst there you are encouraged to develop a broad repertoire of skills either through internal or external bodies in order to achieve optimum performance in your role. This approach has enriched me greatly and has helped to propel my retail experiences. Working with systems are easy as they very rarely change, the hardest part of my Management journey was getting to grips with complex people issues as there is no template that fits all issues diplomacy is the key attribute that I am glad to have embraced and I have gained good mileage from owning it. I would have to say that the best part of role as a General Manager would have to be people development it has always given me great pleasure to work with a very diverse team and to bring out the best in them, when this happens you always maintain great standards and optimum results.
Very Competitive Compensation package
Can be very long days
