Great place to widen my horizons
Recruitment Officer (Former Employee) – London, ENG – 13 August 2014
If there was one thing that Allied Healthcare allowed me to do, it was to improve my attention to detail.
I was responsible for vetting candidates into to some of the most sensitive jobs around, namely looking after vulnerable people in care.
For this reason I had to vet both their right to work in the UK as well as their criminal backgrounds.
We had a high number of people looking to work illegally in the UK and I was trained on how to spot forged documentation.
I also had to be able to assess the honesty and competency of each individual in 1 2 1 interviews.
There was scope to progress within the organisation, however, the opportunity to apply myself in my chosen profession ie marketing, came about and I could not refuse.
Not within my chosen area of expertise.
