The only benefit is looking after the most important people, the service users, which can be challenging but very rewarding in a personal sense. The company is rotten to the core; management is inexperienced, gossipy, backstabbing; even uses staff to spy on other staff. Management has fantastic offices, good conditions etc. but the ordinary staff are treated terribly. Look at press reports on this company, and these are only the tip of the iceberg. Co-workers can be great, but some are favoured by management, others are not.Hardest part of the job is the 24 hour shift, which is frankly crazy as no breaks can be taken whilst the service user is in your care; of course the staff do not do these hours and are most unhelpful Payment for 8 hour sleepovers is £25 per night, well below minimum wage, whilst the CEO is on a six figure salary. Far too much paperwork, responsible job rewarded by a pittance.
Assisting the service users.
Inexperienced and poor management. Pitiful wages and conditions.Long hours.
