Managing and repairing a watch repair and servicing department.
Everyday was different and you never new what was going to come in, It was a very exciting job and one that i have fond memories off.
I would open the store and sort my work load for the day, liase with head office about service and repair of customer watches and keep very close relations with local jewelry stores to improve sales and awareness of our services. I Grew the sales of ITWS and repairs by over 120% in 2 years and was sad to leave but a change in management and diversifying the buisness with a lack of recognition and progression felt it was my only choice. I learned about horology and the history of watch making and was part of the watch makers guild, The hardest part of the job was the unknowen factor of some watches and there origins whether the were genuine or counterfeit along with keeping up with the demand over the christmas period.
Learning new things everyday, getting to know the local jewelers.
Lack of recognition and career opportunitys
