Enjoyable environment but structural issues

I worked in a department that had only just been created, there were issues with working schedule and the payment structure internally. Due to this there was a high turnover in staff, not just at our store but at a number of others.
Head office told us that our inexperience was the reason for the poor level of pay, yet did not understand that they would not attract anyone with experience in our area (courier) of work offering the wage they did.
Felt like all issues that were raised were pushed aside, as we found manual work arounds for most, despite being consistent and problematic for us.
Other staff were mostly enjoyable to work with. Benefits were given for good performance, but felt meager compared to what was done for them.
