Customer Service Assistant (Pausa Coffee Shop) (Current Employee) – Bridgend – 11 January 2016
Typical day at Dunelm coffee shop varies as no day is the same and there are different shift patterns, however each day of work I would do many if not all of the jobs in the shop, from taking customer orders and till operation, to making the different hot drinks, food preparation, washing dishes and clearing tables and lastly putting out stock and doing required daily paperwork e.g. fridge temperatures.
I already had 4 years coffee shop experience, however I think I have learned to be patient, efficient and to multitask.
My management skills have improved whilst working in Dunelm, I think I can manage time well, resolve situation quickly and are able to give clear orders to colleagues.
I have a good relationships with all my co-workers, I enjoy working alongside them and I think I work well in a team.
The hardest part of the job would be it can be challenging at times, especially during busy periods/ holiday/lunch times when you are trying to make sure that all customers are served quickly and professionally, you want every single customer to have and enjoyable experience when visiting the shop.
The most enjoyable part would be meeting new people and learning new skills.
