Having worked for a few cleaning companies, I have to say Servest are probably the worst.
The head office are grossly understaffed for the size of the company, resulting in massive delays in replies to emails and resolutions to queries/issues.
There is little to zero support or training given to management, they are pretty much just dumped in their area with a car and a mobile and left to it! Not necessarily the fault of the higher management as they are often too stretched themselves to really be able to dedicate the time to their team.
The lower paid members of staff (i.e. cleaners) are not really seen as important; I've had to fight hard for long-deserved payrises and management are always under pressure to cut hours, regardless of whether it's realistic or possible.
It's extremely hard to get payslips from them, in fact I found the difficulty of this utterly unbelievable.
The pay is not great, I know a few managers to be on £22k while being expected to travel halfway across the country due to their sites being so spread, and subsequently working 60+ hour weeks every week.
There are pretty much no benefits, no sick pay whatsoever, the basic government pension, the basic holiday allowance.
Overall the one thing I noticed about Servest is they are very much all about their profit and not so much about their staff.
One pro is the majority of staff are friendly, particularly the management, nice, down to earth people.
