I had bad experience with the job interview. I don't like this form of reviews as I prefer no to say anything bad of the company but I have bad experience with some of the officer that at the moment have left the company
No problems in this field
The management are promoting of handwork but are flexible as well. A friendly and helpful culture seems to be obvious in the team which echos when dealing with customers. The customers can be challenging of your knowledge which is always good as there is always something new to learn.
Friendly colleagues and flexible time working
Remote working has lost some of the contact with colleagues
The tenanrs and the job its self we're great however there's a lot of woman middle management who are genuinely clueless regarding housing issues, they care more bout how their selfies look on the company app than the works of the company. I was only temping but found some couldn't use a pc to search regarding tenant issues
Management, blind leading the blind
getting operational staff deployed checking systems status report writing. Dealing with customers and staff members. Organising work streams.Budget and compliance responsibility. Chasing management for decisions or updates. monthly team meetings. Some departments are much better lead than others. A very poor culture of silo working. A high volume of staff turn over. A lack out of genuine care for employees. The business is restructuring which has lead to mass redundancies. More recently in Covid crisis the business decided not to furlough making people redundant in unprecedented times of hardship.
training, remote working, salary
demanding, unsupported, outdated policies, poor senior team, unable to plan effectively.
I worked for Yorkshire Housing for five years at first it was a lovely job which I loved. I experienced bullying from upper management and nothing kept confidential training was shocking. Winding people up for jobs without an interview
Great caring company that values its colleagues Can be busy, call centre environment. The workplace culture is good lots of social events and do a lot for charities. Hardest part of the job is difficult emotional calls that sometimes come through (in my opinion).
company culture is fantastic, lovely management who have supported me for several difficult years (personally). Fantastic benefits to working there, would not have left if not for redundancy. Sometimes incoming calls can be a bit stressful but the team was very supportive
Great pay, great people on the tools to work with. Management are terrible. They are lazy, don't care for the staff, turn up when they want and are very unsupportive and incompetent at managing people...... Regularly expected to break health and safety rules to operate on a daily basis. Naive and incompetent management.
No Support offered by management who are all very ‘clicky’ And afraid to speak up .. in case they are fired. The only change of promotion is if your are friendly with the managers and are happy to keep your mouth shut, follow orders and do not question any decisions made by the CS Head of Service. The managers and team leaders all stick together and lie for each other on instruction from the CS Head of Service. The head of Customer Service loves his sense of authority and is on a constant powertrip. He has no concerns for the tenants or staff at Yorkshire Housininterested in statistics than the well being of staff and tenants . Working here will damage your mental health!
Really nice place to work, but management not great that’s the main reason I left. If your face doesn’t fit...was a lovely company to work for before the restructure and we relocated to Leeds was more like a call centre job, not what I sighed up for.
I worked at Yorkshire Housing for over 18 months. At first was fab. Over past year it’s gone downhill. Unmanageable Workloads and targets, lack of support, and favouritism. Couple that with a consultation and you can see why a lot of decent people have left. It’s such a shame cause I was excited about working here.
You learn a lot about the housing sector and it’s helpful for future jobs
Ineffective and spineless managers, cliquey and unless you are a favourite you’ve no chance
There's loads of bullying and the management have no idea how to treat there staff, also they have very little knowledge on gas safety and well-being
Would never recommend to anyone looking for a job in the gas industry worst place I've ever worked, lots of bullying and very poor management, also alot of unsafe work practices due to incompetent team leaders
Never work there
A really great place to work. People really do care about their work and are passionate about what they do. Lovely friendly teams. I've had some great development opportunities and worked for a couple of really great leaders. Able to strike a work life balance that works for me
Got new manager in tbe last 6 months so things have improved as you are trusted and respected to carryout your role but the support is there when required, previous manager was constantly micro managing the team and driving everyone nuts!, peers amazing people couldnt want to be in a better team.
No development opportunities
