German Sales Development Coordinator (Former Employee) – Avonmouth, Bristol – 21 September 2017
During my time at Yankee I met some amazing people, many of which are still great friends now!
However, they have an unfortunate practice of employing people on temporary contracts indefinitely, which was fine for me as I intended to leave and pursue further education, but for people with children to support it was not ideal. There were also basically no opportunities for progression, and as I was on a temporary contract through a temp agency (along with the majority of my team), I did not get any of the promised bonuses or salary increases.
There was also a bit of a culture of keeping people in the dark when there were redundancies or restructuring of the team.
great workplace culture, multicultural team with lovely people, enjoyable job (selling a great product!), good pay
temporary contract so no sick pay/bonuses etc, lack of transparency in the management team, sometimes systems or practices were not logical (people doing things because they'd always done them, etc)
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) – Bristol, ENG – 21 January 2016
Not to bad for a warehouse. Very good benefits for a contract workers: health packet ,very good pension, but contract is very hard to get. There is a constant competition among the temp staff with doesn't create a good atmosphere. Most of the people work there for many years which is always a good sign. Management is total joke, but hey thats my opinion, and I have seen worst.
