Fun workplace but little job security
During my time at Yankee I met some amazing people, many of which are still great friends now!
However, they have an unfortunate practice of employing people on temporary contracts indefinitely, which was fine for me as I intended to leave and pursue further education, but for people with children to support it was not ideal. There were also basically - more ... no opportunities for progression, and as I was on a temporary contract through a temp agency (along with the majority of my team), I did not get any of the promised bonuses or salary increases.
There was also a bit of a culture of keeping ... - less
Prosgreat workplace culture, multicultural team with lovely people, enjoyable job (selling a great product!), good pay
Constemporary contract so no sick pay/bonuses etc, lack of transparency in the management team, sometimes systems or practices were not logical (people doing things because they'd always done them, etc)
