Post Room Administrator (Former Employee) –  London, Greater London2 November 2019
Working at Xerox you are expected to work overtime for free until the job is complete, despite the work load being completely unrealistic and and despite being understaffed!

Lots of great people
Anon. (Former Employee) –  Uxbridge10 October 2019
There are lot of great people at Xerox but the company as a whole is struggling to move out of the hardware space and find a new growth strategy. There's been lots of change over the pat few years and this is likely to continue.

Project Manager (Former Employee) –  Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire17 September 2019
Was fun kind of but also not so fun. Cliques and social groups that I Was not a part of - didn't have much fun but some people were nice. Give it a go if you want to work for a company that had its heyday in the 70s.

Excellent work life balance but lacking in employee incentivisation
PMO Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Uxbridge10 September 2019
Xerox has for long not being forward thinking and as a result not invested in its people, technology and strategy.

We are now feeling the impacts of this with employees being increasingly deprived of facilities and amenities. There is no longer a feel-good factor in working with the company, which has been constantly norming and storming in the last 5 years. Let's hope the new senior management is successful in its endeavours to reshape its future!

Technical Support / Remote Management (Former Employee) –  Leeds9 September 2019
A friendly place to work. Food can deliver 4-5 times a day. Free parking onsite. Tuck shop onsite. Air chiller system 24/7. Bring warm clothing as it chilly inside.

Awful if TUPEd from another company
Reprographics Operative (Former Employee) –  City of London, Greater London30 August 2019
The reprographics department in a law firm was outsourced to Xerox in 2018. Through this experience I learnt that Xerox places a lot of resources into its sales teams and not enough into onboarding and change management.
Communication was poor at best and non-existent at worst. Provision of company benefits was very badly managed and barely communicated to us. Essential functions in the department were removed with no alternatives put in place, making clear that Xerox had no idea how to keep things running in the midst of change and upheaval. Important changes such as redundancy of a department manager were not communicated until weeks after the person's last day, which I was told is the way Xerox operates as standard.
Standard shift patterns were immediately changed without consultation, then changed back upon legal implications being raised by operatives. Under US influence, the UK arm of the company will attempt to get away with whatever it can, only just within the bounds of UK employment law.

Xerox inherited numerous problems within the department but instead of rigorous research before the transfer and planning ways to deal with these problems, Xerox promised all kinds of technological improvements which were completely unrealistic. They did not listen when us operatives tried to tell them this. None of the promised improvements were ever delivered.
Big changes at the top of the company in the US meant company spending had to be frozen (in order to keep billionaire shareholders happy) adding further difficulties to a department in need of investment.
The company
more... culture was non-existent, which was a shame considering that, before its outsourcing project, the law firm had a good culture of inclusion from the top to the bottom of the company.
Honestly, it's a shame that the most enjoyable part of the job was walking out of the department at the end of each day.

Pros
Original salary retained upon TUPE transfer, luckily since Xerox salaries are very low by comparison
Cons
Poor communication, lots of poorly managed change, profit comes first at expense of quality service

Operations Manager (Former Employee) –  London11 August 2019
Where to begin? Probably the worst Salaries in the London region unless you are lucky enough to tupe across.
Whilst there is good job security and the chance for career progression you'll be expected to perform several roles above and beyond your pay grade and generally for a length of time before achieving any career advancement and even then salary increases are generally non forthcoming.

Senior Technical Support (Former Employee) –  Poole, Dorset1 August 2019
I worked with WDS A Xerox Company as Senior Technical Support. No Job Work/ Life Balance. Career opportunity was zero and pay rise very bad. They don't see you as a human, only a number.
Pros
Nice colleagues

I did not like it
Please do not what get me wrong, being a engineer at Xerox is good but it was not for me. They train you well. You get a vehicle and they look after the vehicles well. Doing the work is all about numbers, no minimum is 3 a day maximum 5 or more. Trying to find the fault with the machine can be stressful and at the same time jobs are coming through on your phone which used to send me mad
Pros
You you get a vehicle with a petrol card with you can use for your own business also.
Cons
The parking have your own pocket a lot of times. job can be very stressful.

Depressing workplace, backwards processes.
Client Manager (Former Employee) –  Belfast, County Antrim2 July 2019
A struggling organisation from the outside is a struggling organisation on the inside. Processes are very dated its difficult to comprehend it's a technology company you're working for. They still remain heavily focused on a rapidly declining market - printers! And despite calling themselves an innovative company have little knowledge on breakthrough technologies. There is very little structure or direction in place..very much a wing it attitude. Culture is quite depressing, no energetic vibes just a lot of people doing very little and waiting to be made redundant.
Pros
Good salary
Cons
Horrible atmosphere, no focus on breakthrough technologies.

Document Imaging Specialist (Former Employee) –  Mitcheldean, Gloucestershire18 June 2019
Working with Xerox was not only the worst job I've had but the worst experience I've had.
The managers have absolutely no management training whatsoever, they're taken on through favouritism, they don't care anything about staff and are only there to get their bonuses. They send staff home early to keep costs down and use morning meetings to gossip and laugh about the staff on the minimum wage. They're borderline psychopaths the way the talk to and treat the staff and it's encouraged from the top down to keep the lowest earners trodden into the mud, even telling them they can't talk.
They frequently have inappropriate relationships with other staff members and some are even out and out predators, no wonder Xerox is a failed company when they employ lazy, lying, rude bullies into management. They wouldn't last 5 minutes in a half decent company, they're life's losers, avoid at all costs.
Pros
Leaving
Cons
Everything

Horrible Place to work
2nd Line Support Agent (Former Employee) –  Leeds3 June 2019
Horrible place to work. Managers are clueless, the wage is low and you are expected to do atleast 3 peoples work. Even the Team Leaders palm their duties off onto you onto of all the other work you have. Can forget about bonuses as if one person on your team doesnt perform then the whole team doesnt get their bonus which happens every month due to the fact that Xerox hire anyone. So many people with no knowledge of IT or even common sense. Was only there for 3 months and I. That space of time seen atleast 9 colleagues leave and new staff join who also left. The are really bad at candidate retention. Will let some of their brilliant minds go rather than offer them a pay increase and will make due with lower quality work instead where several complaints and fines are imposed on the company. Have even seen them lose 2 big government contracts due to rubbish work ethic and poor management.

If you are a serious IT professional I'd suggest you stay clear. On the other hand if you want a job you can get into easy and you know nothing then go for it. But be warned the managers treat you like dirt.
Pros
Easy to get into and permanent
Cons
Burns your soul out

Test Analyst (Former Employee) –  London, Greater London22 May 2019
Hard working but very political. Management more worried about their job security rather than the company/employee goals.
In spite of this the various teams are the best I have worked with. They need to be appreciated.
Pros
good name
Cons
long hours
