Over worked under paid, back breaking work. Breaking multiple laws of health and safety with no regard for customer service. The over focus was profit driven, with what seemed like no scope for career advancement from within any role.
Regional Manager (Current Employee) – Birmingham, West Midlands – 16 November 2017
I may be biased in the sense i am lucky enough to work at XDP Ltd but i feel i need to write a review to add balance, when i started my career at XDP 10 years ago i started working in the warehouse doing forklift work then progressed to the Traffic department and doing the offshore shipments and with dedication and hard work that is most definitely rewarded and noticed at XDP a regional manager among other duties.
The best thing about XDP and its biggest strength i believe is that if you put the work in it is rewarded so it is all down to how you perform and you could not ask for better managers who are there for you when you need them as long as you do the same.
There are times when the work is very demanding but you always have support from the top down when you need it and are treated as a person not just another number and not a lot of companies can truly say that, it is a relaxed atmosphere and when times are trying during busy periods its not just the warehouse staff that get the burden, the managers and even the owner helps and again how many companies can say that?
I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone to start or continue your career at a company who cares about you and put it's customers first, there may be times where you have to work long hours and the going most certainly gets tough but again it is noticed what you do even if you think it has not been and the only people who have not made it here are people who are not willing to put the work in but if you are self motivated and want a career that will challenge you with a lot of variety then join themore... team.less
Working atmosphere, work/home life harmony, hard work is rewarded, great friendly managers and staff
Honestly cant think of one, if pushed some freight is heavy but you are part of a team so just ask for help.
warehouse Operative (Former Employee) – Birmingham, West Midlands – 20 February 2017
Very physical job. I learned how to be part of a team and also run a team. Management were very helpful. Hardest part of the job was how physical it was in the early hours of the morning. Most enjoyable part of the job was working with the colleagues I had there.
I like the people I feel we all work exceptionally well as a team and that goes for every department in the company. However the logistics side of the job makes it's too hard for anyone else to do there job so you feel like you are constantly fighting a losing battle.
