As a building manager it was my job to ensure the smooth running of all the services within the building. These included cleaning, security and maintenance contracts. It was also my job to be the first point of contact for the tenants and any outside contractors.

A typical day revolves around planned and proactive works while balancing the requirements of reactive and emergency issues. I have developed a good understanding of commercial property and the very different requirements from a domestic market. While it has very clear and structured strong management there is an emphasis on personal responsibility and growth and development as an individual.
daily sorting of post, inputting invoices to the system for payment, daily liaising with property managers and suppliers, requesting of funding to pay invoices. Managers adapting to managing a much larger team. Co-workers always happy to help wherever possible.
