Awful experience
Team Leader/Manager (Former Employee) –  Warwick, Warwickshire16 April 2019
Worked here for 10 weeks, the management here have no regard for anyone else but themselves. Wasted my time trying to make a positive impact on a team that clearly doesn't appreciate hard work. No training provided, i was left to learn everything myself and didn't get any support from my managent. Do not waste your time with this company.
Cons
Bad management, bad environment, bad work ethics

Sales Manager UK (Current Employee) –  United Kingdom12 April 2019
Regular change of leadership results in never ending alterations to the way the business operates and what it’s trying to achieve. Poor at retaining good staff mainly due to restrictive and inappropriate pay and grading structure
Pros
Some chance of career progression

Sadly made redundant, because the business relocated to Worcester.
So I have now got to look for another post.
The hardest part was the heavy lifting,

Technical Export Sales Engineer (Former Employee) –  Fareham15 March 2019
It was easy to get to close to home, there were a vary many products to sell so you would never get bored. Although the employees were very good. The managers did talk down to you which in the end is why I left.

It was good to also liaise with other branches on enquiries and orders.

The pension benefits were absolutely brilliant.
Pros
close to home no travel
Cons
poor moral due to management

7.5 tonne driver (Former Employee) –  Nottingham, Nottinghamshire27 November 2018
I worked here for only a few weeks as a 7.5 tonne delivery driver at the nottingham trade branch based a beeston.
I drove a very old truck which was not roadworthy and they have no regard for your health and safety only getting the goods delivered for there profit and targets to be good.
All it was all the time was handballing heavy objects of the lorry all day with no help so if you value your health i would stay clear of this company all together.
This company should be reported to the dvsa and the health and safety executive.

this is a chaotic company. Always changing and never stable.

Stayed here for a 2 year stint and they force you out somehow. Either via job change or redundancy.

Great people but changing for the worse
Product Analyst (Former Employee) –  Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire4 July 2018
It is a relatively young office, and the people there are great to work with, but with the new changes taking place, it is quickly changing from the company I joined.

A typical day would include answering queries from branches regarding prices, and discounts and chasing stock orders sent to inventory. I would also negotiate with suppliers during terms re-negotiations. Data analysis was also a major part of my role. I would be responsible for analysing sales and margin data to identify any potential issues and notify the Senior Buyers.
Pros
Great Team
Cons
Senior management didn't seem to care about anyone below them

Support at Wolseley has always been great. The main bit of advice I would give anyone at Wolseley is if you dont ask, you dont get. Be proactive, but make sure you keep it professional.
