Lovely proactive company to work for, great management, brilliant team attitude, ideas are listened to
Loved it here, was a temp Doc Controller/Site Secretary, left due to Covid19 & then announced voluntary redundancies. The close knit team were great to work with, management exp, proactive & hard working. Social Responsibility initiative's high on the agenda, CCS taken seriously, H&S high priority and excellent, work life balance very good. Would go back like a shot!
Great company ethos
Lots of opportunities , very diverse and was good at group bonding, I was given opportunity to grow within the organisation but was unable to move to new location
I was at WD for a year. Management seemed friendly, but no training. Long hours and frequent overtime. 2 weeks after telling them i was pregnant i was called in by HR and fired. As i had been there for under two years i could not take them to a tribunal and they paid no redundancy. If you want job security ... do not work here. In my time there similar had happened to 10 others. After i had left it seemed they were firing people on average one person a week for fabricated reasons. Despicable company. If you work for them, watch your back.
I worked for 2 weeks ( Work Experience) as an student at college studying Plumbing in Birmingham. I loved going into people's houses and assisting the Plumber. Helping out with taps/toilets and dealing with members of the public. I would love to work with Willmot Dixon again. Now that l have an level 2 in Plumbing, and work towards my NVQ 2. A Big Thank You.
I went above and beyond for this company but as soon as i gave them my notice they withheld my wages - that was 3 months ago now and i still haven't got paid from them - disgusting
managers didnt stick to rules, dont like to pay people, and can cover for whoever they want as long as they want them working for them
There were different challenges in different industries in construction such as, carpenter, bricklayer etc. However it’s also a challenge consulting the health and safety aspects. Ultimately I learned that to be in the construction industry you have to take multiple risk factor test considering health and safety precautions.
