Rubbish
Yard loader (Former Employee) –  Sandtoft2 January 2020
Yes men only apply. Back stabbing and spoon stirring is a given and don't expect to be allowed to drink or do anything else while you work there. It's a joke
Pros
None
Cons
Back stabbing and lack of good management from all aspects of the site

Resourceful company
Structural Engineer (Former Employee) –  Cheadle, Cheshire17 July 2019
The company is more about producing bricks. But has other sections about design and engineering too. Most people are nice, but you may get the odd ones every now and then. Should be lucky if they are not your boss.

Nothing to be grateful for
Operator (Former Employee) –  Sandtoft4 April 2019
A good place if you’re a manager or a yes man.

To be able to work here you need a face that fits and the mental capacity of an infant.
It’s caught up in its own little world by people who have been there too long.

The daily routines are half hourly checks of roof tiles, smelling contaminated waste water, watching roof tiles doing laps around the factory, throwing roof tiles in skips, putting roof tiles back on the production line, smelling paint.

For safety’s sake don’t press the emergency stops in as you will become an enemy of the place very fast.

From the start to finish day after day rest assured tomorrow will bring the exact same on repeat.

After a gruelling and thankless experience the best thing about the company is it’s in the middle of nowhere so when you leave which you will ,you won’t be seeing it again on your travels to a new job.
Pros
Free parking
Cons
Reverse only

A company in a management coma
Engineering Fitter (Former Employee) –  Sandtoft31 March 2019
Work force is stripped to a minimum in a factory that demands more people.
Breaks are not to a time as there is no one to cover, engineers end up taking operators off for their breaks.
Management are rude and unprofessional.
Turnover of staff is bad as morale is low.
Expected to stay late to make up production targets.
Frequently threatened with the security of the job
The product made isn’t to standard and doesn’t meet their sizes but gets signed off anyway.
Too many middle managers trying to be bigger than what they are.
Tooling and spare parts are a myth.
Disorganised chaos on a daily basis and expected to make miracles happen.
Working conditions are very dusty and will give you lung disease.

The least mentally challenging place I have ever worked at.

On the positive side tea and coffee are provided free and the option for overtime is always there because no one wants it.
If you are the sort of person who likes to tell tales to managers this is the place for you.
If you can do the same job over and over again then this is the place for you.
Pros
4 days off
Cons
Majority of the job

Production Team Leader (Current Employee) –  Horsham, West Sussex27 August 2018
I have worked here for 8 years.
There are worse ways to earn a living.
I have lots of support from management team.
The pay is good and you only work five months of the year with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Long days

Brick Merchants (Former Employee) –  Walsall, ENG11 February 2015
Although I only worked at Weinerberger for one week as part as my work experience, it was good experience to see what the working life was like, all the staff made me feel welcome and the manager made work an exciting place by showing me around and showing the different roles his company has.
Pros
Friendly colleagues
Cons
Expensive lunch
