Stay well away.
Care Assistant (Former Employee) –  Previous employer29 October 2019
Don't go there. It's run by managers that don't listen to their staff. You have no life balance, you will never see your children and you will want to leave the job within a month. If your face fits and you are a yes, no person you will get on. They advertise jobs as it's policy but really they are wasting people's time. They already know who is having the job.
The only good part is the going home and also knowing that by collecting the blood from donors you have helped to save a life.

The grass is certainly not greener.
Rather not state (Current Employee) –  Pontyclun, Rhondda Cynon Taff4 April 2018
Very poor management by people employed that do not have any inclination the damage they are doing to a great service. As management myself with varied experiences, I have never witnessed such poor behaviour of management to prove their worth with bullying tactics and undermining of colleagues on their par and most definitely of their staff. Management positions are quickly available as like locusts on the ravage of a hardworking harvest and move to pastures greener. Lower band (wages) vacancies are now a rolling recruitment, as the rats the employees are treated, desert their sinking glorious ship.
Pros
A vending machine with chocolate and crisps
Cons
Sorry even the vending machine robs you

A good, friendly working environment
Blood Collection Assistant (Former Employee) –  Llantrisant, Rhondda Cynon Taff17 January 2018
WBS is a good place to work, the majority of staff are helpful and kind, and take the time to help you settle in.
Quite a busy environment, clinic set up, welcoming donors, helping people with form filling, explain procedure to new donors there is always something to be doing.
Some people can be superior to new starters.
You are always being asked to do another task whilst trying to finish off the job you are doing.
WBS is a clean, warm, friendly environment.
Pros
Paid Travel expenses, nice working environment.
Cons
Lots of travel, late nights.
