Pros: Nice care home, staff are helpful. Management are good. Residents like to chat. Nice atmosphere. Cons: Less hours, less pay. Work is watched all the time. A month of shadowing. Have activity sheets. Less activities put on. Training is average.

The most enjoyable part of the job
Getting to know the residents and spending time with them. Helping someone in need, making sure we meet their day-to-day needs. Providing a safe environment for the residents and making them feel at home.
Night Enabler in Rugby
on 30 January 2019
rewarding work but poorly managed
The job can be very hard at times but very rewarding. Some nights you may only get half an hour break. You often feel invisible to others and unappreciated.

Competitive
Getting the residents up in the morning, washing, dressing, feeding, using stand aids and mechanical equipment. Very competitive and challenging sometimes. Making the rest of their time a bit more happier
