At least 90% of the staff on duty at any time seemed to be 'Managers' or Team Leaders or similar and I was sick of being given multiple tasks to do by several of them at the same time. I never got to complete a job before being given something else to do. I was often on 4 or 5 different sections within the first hour of my shift. Breaks have been cut and are unpaid. Even on my 15 min break after 5 hours I'd be getting a Tannoy message to go to tills etc. Any overtime is single rate. The whole place was completely disorganised. eg The delivery lorry had a daily schedule but 'Managers' were always surprised when it appeared and had to drag people off their current task - which they'd then get hassled for not completing on time... Old timers of course get paid breaks, Sunday pay, overtime pay etc and always managed to be unavailable for the worst jobs.....On the plus side most colleagues were great to work with and the discounts etc. very good.

Milngavie Waitrose - Certain Managers are vile bullies and huge liars. They have no people skills, can't play 'shop' let alone run a shop and slag off customers. They have no respect for customers or staff. They are only out for themselves. If you want your Manager to be a drug taken desperate tart who sleeps with married customers then work here. Worst Managers (excl. 2) I've ever had the delight of working with (stearing clear off)
