Not a nice place to work -
Business Development Manager (Current Employee) –  Birmingham, West Midlands11 October 2019
I work within the dealership, get on with the job in hand, you learn as you go, no support, management act like they are listening but in real terms they are not, the work place culture very poor, the hardest part of the job, trying to get things done as you are on your own, profit comes before individual, concerning the most enjoyable part of the job, going home.

Please note this is not about Volkswagen the manufacturer, it's about the dealership and how it's being run - given Volkswagen a bad name.

Great cars great technicians
Service Advisor/Administrator (Former Employee) –  Windrush5 October 2019
After working for various manufacturers, I found VW’s approach to warranty claims to be difficult and long winded. Which in my opinion showed that their customer service ethic is somewhat flawed. In comparison to Hyundai and Honda who’s process in regards to warranty to claims was far easier, allowing more valid claims to be processed with ease. Giving better customer satisfaction.

a better customer satisfaction

Customer Service Manager (Former Employee) –  Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire10 September 2019
Learning curve for those early in their career due to a lot of autonomous working and self management/development. A large variety of areas to work in however, and great exposure to different business areas.

The sales teams are a great aspect of these sites. It's a shame that the management can be to concerned about themselves and not developing their team.
Pros
Pay plan can be good if target is hot

Disappointing and shocking
Sales Executive (Current Employee) –  Surrey27 August 2019
Very excited to work for Volkswagen as my first automotive sales job - couldn’t wait to get started as I’ve wanted to be in the industry for years and Volkswagen gave me a chance. The reality has been incredibly disappointing.

The in-house training was woeful and the majority of the time you’re left to your own devices to deal with situations and questions you have absolutely no idea how to answer. Sales lost as I wasn’t taught how to deal with something, they will take upwards of a year to complete your training regardless of how long you’re told in your interview (another lie), no commission paid during training despite them pressuring you to sell, expected to survive on thin air in terms of a salary, and no company car either - both things we were misled about in interview.

The management is a clique - they will group together, become rude, sarcastic and will lie and bully. The way management treat you - belittling, ignoring, mocking you when you don’t know how to deal with something because you haven’t had the training they were supposed to give you, they speak to you like you’re worthless scum of the earth....the list goes on. Even the other staff will do anything to get ahead, including throwing others under the bus as the pressure is so great. I really expected more from such a prestigious brand and a retailer with such great reviews, but frankly it has put me off ever working for the Volkswagen group in the future. I’m sorry to say it but I made a very bad decision saying yes to their job offer. Avoid.

One of the hardest roles within the motor trade, but extremely rewarding. This role taught me so much over the years especially regarding communication.

Can help to begin a career in the motor trade. Can be a very demanding role with a difficult balance of work to social life. The hours are long and the stress levels are high.

Site Manager/Driver (Former Employee) –  Southend3 April 2019
everything is up in arms at this place, no one knows what they are doing, absolute clueless sales managers, having to work through lunch breaks, working until 10 at night where i was only contracted until 5, not getting paid for said overtime, salesman always contradicting themselves, and managers disagreeing with each other when it came to matters such as how the branch should be ran
Pros
Some good colleagues at this branch
Cons
almost everything else
