Excessive & repetitive amounts of paperwork & unnecessary e-learning. Too many managers that seem to have very little knowledge and/or experience in healthcare. For the level of responsibility & demands within my remit, the salary is appallingly low - less than UK national average. Role is support worker that has more responsibility in it's remit than a part time, NHS hospital Occupational therapist, who is paid nearly £3k per year more.
Usually always have decided beforehand, so not fair at all!!?? Friends get priority. New staff are taken on with no experience and then drown so don’t last long.
Do Virgin genuinely support flexible working and help create a work/home balance?
Only if you had those hours before you were taken over by Virgin. New contracts are company centric
To really look at management, lack of support to their nurses. High levels of work related stress and sickness due to the lack of management and support. Eap is a joke have real help for nurses face to face councillors. Staff need caring for but they are the last to receive any form of care and attention ! Loosing high levels of dedicated professional nurses who have worked in this industry for years. disgraceful management lack of front line staff high levels of stress and workload
