There needs to be a balance between professionalism and empathy. Nights out as incentives are no good if there's no relationships buult between management and staff. Management need to be consistent with rules, dress code, phones etc. No phone policy for data protection but section manager uses theirs for personal calls Facebook etc in full view of the floor manager with no repercussions. Some sales staff get privileges such as eating on the sales floor, extended breaks or arriving late with no effect on their pay or performance bonuses etc.
Well they could be honest when doing the one to ones and actually do the one to ones, higher management say fault has to be found on the one 2 ones and my manager made me sound like a right numpty
There is plenty that needs to be done here, the overall higher management seem to be stuck in the 80s with their methodology, I never saw the CEO or COO once, sets a really bad standard across the company, long hours and an awful culture that is not focussed on its staff and benefits for them, yes there is pizza once a month but I’m afraid in this day and age that’s simply not enough.
