I have had several temporary contracts at The University of Manchester over the years and I have enjoyed every one of them. Good place to work, nice friendly people, good atmosphere. So many different departments to work in and gain experience. Good work-life balance, flexible working. Will definitely work at Manchester University again.
Student Ambassador (Current Employee) – Manchester – 21 May 2018
The workers at the University are excellent however, the University decide to consistently cut jobs, which can make it a hostile environment to work in. As a student ambassador it is fine, however as a permanent full time member of staff at the university it isn't that great, from what I have been told by the people I have worked for.
flexible work- i.e work 9-6 one day and leave at 3 the day later.

PA/Administrator (Former Employee) – Manchester, Greater Manchester – 5 March 2018
Good employer. It does depend on which department/faculty you are in as regards to flexibility. You can always train on the latest computer packages they are very good in allowing you to go on any courses necessary to your role. But each school/faculty runs itself. Some will make you work to your contract of employment to the letter, some will be more flexible. Could be better paid for the roles people are expected to carry out.Good holiday entitlement.
