Monitoring parks contract, organising works, plant and bedding design.
Enjoy working with public and staff, developing and improving grounds to budget.
Hands on management style, firm but fair.
Hardest part of job is enough staff and resources to carry out works required.
Most enjoyable part are comments from the public on how nice the parks are looking.
Learned that working and communicating with stakeholders and staff gets the best co operation and results.

fun and friendly

only worked an hour a week, learnt how to use the computers and how to help people which built up my confidence. The people i worked with were very friendly and were there to help you.

A very busy working environment, hard work and meet lots of interesting people, Every day is different so always expect the unexpected, I start my shift on checking what is on diary, any problems, start on moving hot coffee machines into the meeting rooms, get the lunch(if any ordered) organised and ready. Clean up after meetings done and preparing the machines for the next day meetings.
Dealing and listening to what others communicate and some days are very busy some are not and knowing what to do, how to do things in different approach to a job.
Very effective team players and most enjoyable is knowing that my customers are at least 100% happy and have the service they asked for.
Pros
no one to keep an eye on you all time, flexiblity to solve problems on yyour own.
Cons
no lunch breaks, always on your toes, dealing with late booking's requests.
