Nice staff
Money Manager (Current Employee) –  Manchester30 January 2018
Nice staff and you can progress quite quickly within the company. Management are ok and the workplace culture is reasonable.
The hardest part of the job can be the hours and taking call after call. The most enjoyable part of the job is speaking with customers and staff

Awful place to work
Debt Advisor (Former Employee) –  Trafford, Greater Manchester11 January 2018
Once on board management are only interested if you are young, good looking and fit in with the click. If not you will be managed out the business or leant on to leave. They know straight away whether they want you and will tell you within the first couple of days if they feel you fit in. It pays well and there is an on site gym are the only 2 positives that I took away
Pros
Gym and pay
Cons
Long hours and disingenuous management

There are worse places to work
Account Manager (Current Employee) –  Manchester, Greater Manchester20 June 2017
Not a bad company at all and they do have scope to move about the business too. The gym only costs 50p a month and there are good canteen facilities, it is meant to be subsidised but it's not that cheap

Gym

Good company to develop your skills
Sales Advisor (Current Employee) –  Manchester, Greater Manchester31 March 2017
Good company to develop your skills, like any job you get out what you put in.

Management team from my experience are very good although many others have choice words.

You deal with lots of different types of calls no day is the same.

Be open to the ideas given to you.

Social events are non existent to previous years.
Pros
Company facilities, work life balance

Poor HR-Save yourself the trouble
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) –  Trafford Park, Greater Manchester17 March 2017
Hr are very bad, no clue about recruitment or taking on the right people. They will take you if your face fits, not bothered if you cant do the actual job. Save yourself the trouble, just don't apply, you will be wasting your energy.

none
Cons
waste of time

Once a powerhouse, now in a freefall decline
Manager (Former Employee) –  Trafford Park, Greater Manchester21 February 2017
Having worked at Think Money Group for over 10 years I saw the business grow from strength to strength and endure some incredibly turbulent times.

There are some very hard working and talented individuals who will again and again give blood sweat and tears for the group, this does not unfortunately always get recognised and there is a repressive streak running through the senior management team.

I wish Think Money Group all the best but they need to recognise those individuals left before its too late.

Development Officer (Former Employee) –  Trafford Park, Greater Manchester20 January 2017
Overall the complex is an amazing place to work. Everything you need is on site.
Everyday is busy, the business obviously wants to 'go places'.
Communication between the management and staff could be a lot better.
Overall this is a great business. If you work hard you will be rewarded. Lots of internal progression available.
Pros
Great site
Cons
Little faith from outsiders - they know best????

Possibly the worst place ive worked
Debt Advisor (Former Employee) –  Manchester3 November 2016
A truly awful company to work for. They promise the world and give nothing. There is a horrible click in the place where if you don't fake blonde hair and a bad tan then you won't fit in as they rule the roost and what they say goes. The management are awful (bar one or two) who don't listen to what you have to say and can't do the job they're telling you how to do it in-between planing their weekend and with the click and bragging about what drugs they took the weekend before . Cafe is overpriced and if you drive, unless you get there at 8 every morning you'll end up parked on the other side of Trafford Park.
Pros
Gym
Cons
Awful management, horrible work based click

Too many catches
Review Specialist (Former Employee) –  Trafford11 August 2016
Long hours although advertised as 9-5:30. Expected to put most other things on hold unless an emergency situation.

Work life balance poor, however good location and facilities. Would not recommend if a smoker as only 1 break per day.

Enjoyable training for the most part, lots of information and certainly educated me, however again, extra hours expected where not required.

Must have a strong emotional constitution and be able to deal with difficult scenarios.
Pros
Excellent on site facilities.
Cons
Poor understanding of staff management.

Forward thinking employer who look after their staff
Insolvency Sales Advisor (Former Employee) –  Manchester28 March 2013
I started at Think Money in 2003, 2 weeks after graduation. At the time the workforce was approximately 150. This has grown to in excess of 1000. During my time we have relocated to Salford Quays, where there is access to a gym and Starbucks-type Cafe, as well as other numerous employee benefits. Think Money are due to relocate at the end of this year to larger offices which will include a running track and a creche at discounted prices. My work was demanding but well-incentivised. The general values and work ethic of the business are very strong. The emphasis is to act in the customer's best interests.
Pros
progression opportunities, inhouse food/cafe, gym, strong management
Cons
sometimes too insular, unconcerned about what happens outside of thinkmoney

It's a workplace with a lot of pressure however if you work long hours and have a good job performance you can expect to receive a generous bonus. Very good training and support with their own on-site training centre, cafe with subsidised starbucks, onsite gym and lush black tie xmas do.
