Range of customers, long hours, some exciting opportunities
Waitress/Bar Staff (Former Employee) –  North Yorkshire30 January 2014
This job was difficult when doing a 14 hour day on 2 split shifts and due to the type of hotel this was, a high standard had to be maintained 24/7. Management weren't very approachable but i did build good relationships with some co-workers. The most enjoyable part of the job was the people i used to wait on but the most difficult part was the long days 5 days a week and lack of support. I learnt a lot about top end wines and spirits and how certain drinks compliment certain foods and i had to learn and memorise new menus every sitting, every day, as they would change very often.

One day i worked a shoot party in a customers own home out in the country which was very special and i felt honored to be the chosen waitress for such a large event.

Employment and given hours depended heavily on residents, days of the week and certain times of the year.
Pros
It was close to home, great co-workers
Cons
Very long hours, un-stable.
