FRONT LINE MANAGER (Former Employee) – Birmingham – 23 October 2017
A front line manager at the age of 17, with over 70 staff, I didn't appreciate how lucky I was and how little stress I was under compared to more recent roles. Some aggressive management styles, however these were localised to stores and not part of the company as a whole.

Sales Associate (Current Employee) – Birmingham, ENG – 26 October 2015
I enjoy working at TKMAXX as all staff where new in a new store we where made to feel very welcome. Training was brilliant and we learnt a lot. I enjoy working on front line the most being able to interact with customers and keeping busy throughout the day. The management team are supportive however some find it difficult to approach managers with questions.
Tkmaxx is my first permanent job and working here for the length of time I have I have become very confident in my workplace and how the shop runs on a day to day basis. With my store (Birmingham Bullring) being a max max store, it is always a fairly busy store with the weekends being incredibly busy. I thrive working in a busy environment and find it a lot more enjoyable when I am constantly on the move. With Birmingham being a very cultural city I have learned a lot about how to interact with various customers that may not be able to speak much, if any, English. I have also learnt how well I work under pressure, how to organise myself and my colleagues, and how to prioritize tasks. I have a wonderful team around me and we all work together as a team when needed, with communication being the key aspect. We recruit a lot of temporary staff around the summer and Christmas period so we are all 'buddied' up with a new member of staff so that we can help them learn and develop new skills and learn the everyday running of the store. The hardest part of the job would be trying to keep on top of keeping the store tidy as well as completing tasks when the store is at its busiest but it is rare that tasks are not completed and solutions are found to overcome any problems. The most enjoyable part of the job, is when it is really busy and everyone comes together to help and support and when I am managing part of a team to help keep that section under control.
