Typical nights work would be making sure everywhere is clean and tidy, welcome the customers with a big smile. Serve delicious food and drink. Look after the staff. Give a great service so everyone leaves thouroughly enjoyed. Clean down in the kitchen. Then set up for following night.
Write a wine count.
Make an order.
You learn all about the different dishes and ingredients. Which beverage compliments the food. How to work in a fine dining restaurant. Be polite, friendly and confident.
Hardest past of the job is trying to please everyone.
Most enjoyable is seeing customers happy, and leaving good feedback.
