I was part of the Social Media team for approximately 6 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed being a part of a new team. I only left due to the travel as it would take me up to 4 hours in total to travel which was the element affecting me. I enjoyed working there and found my colleagues approachable and I would recommend this role to other people.
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) – Reading – 18 April 2017
Thames Water, Green Park, Reading was a great place to work. With a lovely office building and surroundings, positive and friendly staff throughout different departments and organised shift patterns. A typical day would consist of answering customers calls with information or complaint queries about their water supply or work happening in the area. As a customer service assistant I would follow a script and ask questions to ensure I found the correct solution for the customer and provided the correct information.
A mix of IT and Non IT projects forming the programme. Time was taken to assess and implement changes, Budgets were always a challenge and stakeholder management was often the best way to run the project.

What was once a vocational occupation has now become a profit motivated business with scant regard for employee satisfaction and well being. Any failings are seen a sign of incompetence. The best parts were meeting suppliers/contractors and seeing how they prepare for working with these big clients.
