16. You can sell age restricted products including alcohol if "supervised" by somebody 18+. In practice at tesco it means you shout "alcohol" to a nearby checkout colleague, they give you the nod after looking at the customer or ask them for id.

Back in 2004 it was different to now I think because they were opening a new store it was like an open day then a chat and they rang about a week later to ask me in for induction. So quite informal.
