The working hours for my specific role start a 6 am which is very early. But I enjoy these hours because the store is quiet and you can get on with your job. You also have the rest of the working day to yourself.

Nights can run all through the night dependant on the job role. My hours was 8am to 6pm, or 10am to 9pm. Very convenient hours and can be changed if management are notified early enough.

Absolutely. Even if you don't want to. As a manager part of my contract was that I gave up the right to not do more than 48 hours a week. It will be forced upon you. But if you want to (and they have the money to pay you) they are fine with you working 40+ hours a week.

The basic hours are 3 hours and 45 minutes for each shift. There is always overtime if you want it. Mangers at Tesco and I'm sure in other retail companies will always influence you to do overtime.
