A typical day as a server in TGIs involved serving guests, running food and drinks to tables, cleaning the restaurant, entertaining any children that dined in and working as a team to make the shift run smoothly.
The company try to create a positive atomosohere and culture where the servers, kitchen and management work together. However, in my experience working night shifts and every weekend takes it's toll on work/life balance. Myself and other team members didn't feel appreciated or supported by management working busy, peak shifts.
The hardest part of the job as I have mentioned was the shift work and having to consistently work late and every weekend. Despite working unsociable hours, the team I worked with was what's made it enjoyable as we would bounce off of each other and keep up team morale.
