Awfully terrible company! AVOID!
Office Administrator (Former Employee) –  Brighton, East Sussex6 October 2019
Don't waste your life away in the worst company in Brighton and surrounding cities. I wish Study Group sucked only in Brighton but just do some research, and you will find that they suck wherever they are!
You will be overworked, underpaid and unappreciated every single day.
NO training /support and NO personal development for admin staff.
Promotion? Only through biased selection. Well connected people get the vacancies. It's a whom you know kinda place, nothing to do with merit or skills.
A terrible and embedded blane culture which managers hide behind in order to have no accountability.
Absolutely NO cover for staff sickness or holidays, your work will be there waiting for you til you return.
HR and Payroll are useless and the most disorganised and disconnected departments I have ever seen!
The only positive about Study Group is the location, nothing else!

DO NOT APPLY! Any other job you apply for, will be better than this one - trust me! You will be overworked, underpaid and unappreciated every single day.

Executive team venorated everywhere while staff languish on low salaries with no developement
Administrator (Current Employee) –  Brighton, East Sussex17 July 2019
I have been working at the Brighton office for some time. While the people who I work closely with are delightful, the company as a whole is a mess.

Staff are low paid despite having enormously complex and important roles within the company. Worse, we are infantilised by managers with incentives like hmv vouchers and trips to lasertag.

There is little or no progression, with almost every job advertised going to an outside hire, and the executive team wonder why job satisfaction as at 55%.

Worst of all, the Global Executive Team force us to celebrate them at every opportunity, as though bringing Crispy Creme twice a year and handing out roses to women on International Women's Day will make up for the boring and fragmented lives we have to lead.

Can't wait to find something new.

Bad management and low morale of staff
Education Consultant (Former Employee) –  Brighton, East Sussex3 June 2019
Worked for SG Brighton a while ago now as an education executive.
The management team where very hands-off, instead relying on untrained and inexperienced mid-management to run the show.
Examples of undervalued staff at every level and also terribly low salaries (note they rarely advertise the salaries offered!)

Unorganiseed/lack of support/ training awful and keep you waiting after completing a task.

Trainiing rushed and never allowed you to do it by self.

Horrible environment to work in.

Very Bad Place to Work
Executive level (Former Employee) –  Uk6 May 2016
Incompetent senior managers who are unable to identify the root of the problems. A terrible work culture from top to bottom. Greed and stupidity and a complete lack of integrity or understanding at the top. A refusal to deal with the head office managers who have been responsible for the mess, but still hold onto their jobs. Don't work here.
Pros
Your next job will seem better
