Volunteer Worker (Former Employee) – Herne Bay – 22 May 2018
My day would involve helping to run Saturday Club conversing, looking after residents and playing board games. I had to communicate with residents who have multiple disabilities. I learned how to communicate with people who have disabilities. There was a great workplace environment, with very friendly staff and carers.
Care worker assistant (Former Employee) – Herne Bay, Kent – 9 January 2018
When i became a HCA for strode park it was brilliant. The service users were admirable and my colleagues like myself loved working with our service users. A few years later i realized that this like most was just a job, the caring quality that was once there was descending. There remain some of the best care workers i've ever had the pleasure of working with but it too is filled with care workers who quiet honestly just don't care and a management that is willing to allow this.
Bank Care Assistant (Current Employee) – Herne Bay – 27 November 2017
Retention of good staff due to low salaries paid compromises the whole set up and means inconsistent conditions across various areas of the company. Some units are exceptional and a pleasure to work within others are difficult to provide a good service within which I am not comfortable with.
Some good people that have helped with my training and experience
HR & Quality Support Administrator (Current Employee) – Canterbury, ENG – 2 September 2015
Exciting area to work in where your colleagues and the management are all striving to improve our clients' quality of life. Supportive management who encourage their staff to grow and progress within the organisation. There is a lot of variety to my demanding role which requires flexibility but this is the aspect that I enjoy most.
