Engineer (Former Employee) – Ashington, Northumberland – 10 October 2018
Was a good company and good people within the UK. There is no job security though and you are not valued at all by head office. The UK was once centre of excellence and manufactured the tools until one day America decided they could do it all overnight, needlessness to say the customers are dropping off by the day
Payroll Associate (Current Employee) – Didsbury – 13 February 2018
SPX was a great company to work initially for my development. I have learned an awful lot and the culture was once amazing, since the split, the company has gone down hill and is not the place it once was.
Cell Leader/Supervisor (Former Employee) – Glasgow – 25 April 2017
8 hours going to meeting looking after machine shop loading jobs onto machines ,management was poor over the last 5 years hard going talking to management when they don't know about job seeing jobs finish on time with profit
Nice place to work. Going through a tough time just now. The down turn in the pump market has affected the business but hopefully it will come through the other end. There are talented people there. Big place. Lot of history.
Accountant (Current Employee) – Manchester – 24 January 2017
Hate everything about this place. bad managers, bad advancement, bad salary bad work life as no overtime pay or time back and expected to work extra. Only Collegues are good and people leave very quickly, More than 1 person leaving a month atm
An enjoyable and fun workplace with opertunities to improve your skills with a friendly environment. The work is challenging but the other members of staff have no problems with helping with difficulties.
