Found job enjoyable but prefer more contact with residents .Role very black and white with little chance to adapt ,as income led .

preferred neighborhood role as able to become part of a team.
Pros

Cons
last role restricted my abilities as had little face to face contact

Legal Team (Current Employee) –  Dorset14 April 2019
I am a current employee and think Sovereign is a great place to work.

I only have experience of an office based role within my own team but so far so good.

The work-life balance is great, as is the graduate entry pay and benefits etc.

It really depends what you want from a job and where you are in your life.

For a person with a family, it is great. I would say that what I have seen of career progression within my team is also very good with SHA willing to invest in employees' further training.

My job isn't especially interesting and if it wasn't for the fact that it was such a great place with great people, I probably wouldn't stay which says a lot in itself.

I'd say the downside is that while I initially loved the ethos and the thought of helping people, the business is really just about profits and generating more money. But then, what business isn't!
Pros
All benefits, work-life balance, people

Lack of training
Customer Care Assistant (Former Employee) –  Basingstoke, Hampshire9 April 2019
I spent about a month not knowing how to do my job because no one bothered to take the time to train me, or the other new recruits. Most of the emails coming through were too advanced for my lack of training, so I could only work on certain ones.

One day I was told I'd be going on the phones. When I explained that I haven't been trained for inbound phonecalls, my collegue casually said "Oh well, you'll figure it out".
Pros
Hour long lunches
Cons
Lack of training
