Healthcare Assistant/Detox & Stabilisation Worker (Current Employee) – Birmingham, ENG – 13 August 2014
A typical day at work would include assisting in group sessions led by group leaders looking at service users' challenges and addictions this involving encounters group, journals, service users' life story events providing feedback and daily/group reflections. I also undertake caseloads from nurses to administer assessments, care plans, blood tests, drug tests, blood pressure readings, peak flow and breathalyser readings. As well as administering my own key working session with service users to help them rebuild their lives step by step and record keeping. Other tasks would include assisting in administering patients into park house and aiding in discharging patients as well as food preparation and assisting in medication procedures here at Park House rehabilitation clinic.
