Absolutely awful
Sales Assistant (Current Employee) –  Derby, Derbyshire25 January 2018
Not worked very long but there are a lot of issues with the company... There was no confidentiality whatsoever for a start, The hours are unbearably long and tiring, for minimum wage, it really isn't worth it at all, the discount is the only good thing about working at the shop, and despite having been there almost 4 months, I haven't even received a name badge, absolutely ludicrous! do not recommend working for this company at all.

There are some absolutely lovely members of staff and I've met some really lovely people, but it really doesn't outweigh the way i've been treated.

Friendly Environment
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) –  Sheffield23 November 2017
Working at Select Convenience i learned the importance of customer service, making the customer feel welcome and chatting to them made it more likely for them to return to the store. All staff i got to know while were working there were friendly and welcoming to me from the beginning. Due to the shop being rather small there were times where there wasn't a lot to do which sometimes made it quite boring, although most of the time it was fine. Overall working here was a good experience and i learned about what goes in to running a shop on a day to day basis.

Disgusting.
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) –  Rothley, Leicestershire16 October 2017
You are treated like dirt. The only good thing about working there is the other staff members. You dont even get paid on time or a pay slip and no contract. Which im sure is illegal but thats the way they run the place. Also be preppared to be told that they can replace you easily, very unmotivating.
Pros
The other staff
Cons
Pay. Management and overall the shop/

the most enjoyable part was meeting new faces on a daily basis as well as conversing with the regular ones.
daily duties involved managing and making orders and taking deliveries.
replenishing stock whenever needed and stock rotation.

The staff are very nice to work with but after 41 weeks, 14 hours a week, 2 days no pay at the end of placement I had no thank you card or nothing
