Nice and chill workplace, low salary, zero hours contract
QA Tester (Current Employee) –  Gunnersbury, Greater London23 April 2019
Unfortunately they do not value their employees. Everyone is "replaceable". They would not hesitate to zero you down. No option for higher pay, neither for better position.

Wouldnt advise an experienced QA but a good way in to the QA industry
QA Tester (Former Employee) –  London18 February 2019
I wouldnt advise any experienced qa to take a position here, as you will be very disappointed in the experience.

Very Low Salary, especially in comparison to the rest of the industry
Feel like your back in school, steering at the clock waiting for break time.

strict NO phones on the office floor policy
Set break and lunch times (absolutely no office flexibility at all)
Half an hour for lunch, with no real food places local on on site cafe which is very expensive
Pros
A Good way into the QA testing industry for beginners (looks good on the resume)
Cons
Low wage, no flexibility, no phones

Pros
Friendly, few hours
Cons
Low salary, no stability

A lot of work to complete with different amounts of guidance, challenging job but always something to do and to keep busy. Management was ok, sometimes very little guidance given, other times perfect.

My experience was positive, though their failure to promote me despite my experience and exemplary performance was deeply frustrating. The working environment was pleasant and the people were polite and kind!

Good as as temporary job
Localisation QA Tester in London-UK (Former Employee) –  London1 September 2016
It can be a very good place to work for people looking for a temporary position only. Good working hours and nice environment, but not a lot of stability due to the zero hour contract. Suitable for short periods, but not for a long term idea.

QA Italian Language Tester (Former Employee) –  Chiswick, London5 September 2014
My duty was to check the quality of Italian translations in game, proofreading text and assuring
there were no grammar or spelling mistakes, text cut off, overlapping or bleeding outside the text
boxes. Above all I had the responsibility to make sure that the specific terminology had been
respected for each platform in order to avoid failing the submission of the game (TRC). I often supported the role of Italian translator.

Good starting point for videogames QA, but don't take it too seriously
Language Tester (Former Employee) –  London, ENG25 March 2014
I started my career as a tester on this company, and for that I must be thankful. But the fact is that they will contract anyone, because their standards are very low.

There is a serious lack of professionalism at all levels, so why a Tester is going to be professional when the Senior Tester have the position just for being friend of the Lead, the Lead is watching football and listening music during working hours, the Supervisor hates his job, as he often says to everyone, and the Manager can't cope with stress as the job is too much for him?

Imagine an ordinary day at the office. You arrive and you realize you do not have a chair, so you have to steal one from another Tester. Then your computer doesn't work, call IT. Your PS3 is missing the controller, but people in the storage don't know why and moreover they don't care...

Then you start working one hour late, just to realise that the colleague sitting at your left is totally lost, she have no clue about this job and she should never have been hired, but hey, she is a girl and she is hot. Fair enough. And the colleague at right is cheating all the results because he is too lazy to actually test the game, and he is not even hiding.

A veteran Lead in the department told me this: QA doesn't stand for Quality Assurance, but for Quantity Assurance.

Besides all the sloppy shoddy disorganized work, it is a relaxed and fun place to work, where nobody cares too much about anything, where you can have fun, make friends and take it easy. And maybe learn one thing or two about this business, if you want.

It was a
more... good first contact for me with the videogames industry. But if you want to be professional and take it seriously, eventually you have to leave this "monkey business" and find another company, so I did.

Sadly now they only provide "zero hours" contracts (back in the time it was some kind of temporal-forever contract).
  less
Pros
Fun, relaxed environment. Not too hard. Play games.
Cons
Unprofessional. Low standards. Zero hours contracts.

QA LANGUAGE TESTER (Former Employee) –  London, ENG11 June 2012
I have been learning a lot during these past months. Not only I have developed a various number of skills such as communication, thoroughness and effectiveness I have also been learning about the working methods of the company. How to handle a project, to meet deadlines and most importantly work together as a team in order to ultimately deliver a product that follows the initial requirements.
