CVIT Driver (Former Employee) –  Leigh7 April 2019
Worked at Leigh branch for 2 weeks, terrible depressing place, everybody hates it, given 1 weeks training before lashed out on your own to places you have no idea about, no help from management, you have no time to worry about being attacked or being vigilant, too many drops for a one man job, 12hr days most days, too stressful no wonder staff turnover is so high, give it a miss.

Enjoyed job
CVIT Driver (Former Employee) –  Gateshead, Tyne and Wear5 October 2018
I worked here for over 2 years and i have to say there were a lot more good days than bad.
Theres a good set of lads here on the road and in the depot, and when you need help when out on the job its a phone call away.
If i needed a certain day off management would always do their best to accommodate me, no probs, best to give as much notice as poss though, swings and roundabouts.
Adhere to the procedures and you will be fine, days can be long, and vary with different runs, depot tends to put you on runs you know which is good, you will get quicker as you learn it, job can be heavy so if you are a wet lettuce this wont be for you.
Equipment also reliable.

You will meet some great people doing this job, i enjoyed it.
Pros
Work less days per week
Cons
Traffic/No set finish time.

Good place to work if you are willing to put the hours in
Driver (Former Employee) –  Coventry, West Midlands29 August 2018
Shift managers are spot on depot manager is good, some long routes which can be hard dependant on traffic what more can you expect from a driving job. Once out of the depot you’re left to your own devices. As long as you complete your run you’ll be fine early starts late finishes but 3 days off which they try to give you together of not all 3 then you get at least 2 days together. Not a bad job if you like driving.
Pros
Free food and drinks. 3 days off per week
Cons
Not as good pay as the other company’s

Management doesn't care about drivers
Cit driver (Current Employee) –  Leigh, Lancashire27 June 2018
Management within sec plus is an utter joke! You work hard and fast to get finished to get home for a slice of family time and the thanks you receive for being good at your job is MORE JOBS. No thanks. Spend 10 hours running around only to have to wait 2 hours to be unloaded!! This company wastes so much money being badly organised it's no wonder that the drivers are under paid.
THE COMPANY OWNERS SHOULD TAKE NOT OF THIS THEN THE DRIVERS WOULD NOT BE LEAVING ALL THE TIME.
Pros
4 days a week

Rewarding job
CVIT Driver (Current Employee) –  Cardiff9 June 2018
Long hours but your told this at interview stage. Managers in our depot try best to rotate shifts so everyone as fair share of weekends off. Help is only ever a phone call away. There are a lot worse jobs out there than this.
Pros
Working alone. Out & about.
Cons
None I enjoy the job

Love It
Cash in Transit Driver (Current Employee) –  Glasgow, Glasgow1 February 2018
Only been with the Company a short period of time but first impressions are really good.
Hours can be long hours but they are over 4 days so you have 3 days off every week. So far training has been excellent with other drivers being really helpful and friendly.
Management listen to you and monitor how you are doing with the training.
First job that I have had that I enjoy getting out of bed for.
Long may it continue.

Good place to work
Driver (Former Employee) –  Derby31 January 2018
Sec+ is a good place to work. As a driver you work 4 of 7 days but can do more days if you want. The days are long but it varies between runs and drivers. Some people are faster. Most shifts are 10-12 hours. Nice customers who sometimes give you free food. Get called on day off for extra work or to work nights

Managers good, nice shift managers who look after the drivers well. Rotas are fair, annual leave is first come first served and sometimes get denied. Office staff are nice and give you uniform and holiday forms
Pros
Free food from customers. Lad banter
Cons
Pay low for job

Absolute Joke
Cash in Transit Driver (Former Employee) –  West Midlands26 January 2018
Worked for this outfit a couple of months. Im not afraid of hard work but this was just over the top. 300 miles around the country each day. Started at 430am finished at 21:00pm. Even if you needed to be home early you could rush around all day thinking thats it i can go home, but they would call you up and ask you to collect more money from more places. Its just not on. Drivers come and go every week. Nobody is happy there. I was doing 68 hour days. Ok only over 4 days but this is not normal. No life outside of work. Do not get trapped into this. Lots of other CIT companies that offer better.
Pros
Driving on your own
Cons
Long Days

Not bad if you like driving
Cash in Transit Driver (Current Employee) –  Coventry25 January 2018
Working 4 days a week is good as it means that you can have a good work-life balance. This is however if you can deal with very early starts in the morning on work days. The workplace is good as everybody gets on with what they need to do and most of the time you can listen to music in the van. The pay needs to be around 50% higher.
Pros
Free food and drinks
Cons
Traffic jams

Long hours less days win win
Driver (Current Employee) –  Derby24 January 2018
40-50hours a week over 4 days most jobs would need 5 -6 days to work the same hours understanding when mistakes are made just not repeated try to help out when struggling on your run No set finish time
Pros
Long hours less days
Cons
No set finish time so can't plan anything after work pay could be more

Shocking
Cash in Transit Operative (Former Employee) –  Glasgow24 January 2018
12-15 hours a day without a break for just over £9ph while every other cash in transit company pays over 11£ph. Can be starting at 4 in the morning and work till 7 at night and you still get moaned at if you miss a job! Have no care for driver wellbeing only interested in getting jobs covered. They get away with this as vans are not tacho’d. If the vans had tachos this company would go bust.

Can have above 50/60 jobs some days and they tell you that you should be vigilant at all times, how they expect you to stay vigilant while rushing about to get jobs done is beyond me. Don’t give you a stab vest either, every other CIT company gives drivers stab vest but security plus would rather not spend the money on crew safety. Uniform is uncomfortable and poor quality and trying to get new uniform is near impossible.

Vans have multiple cameras as you would expect but almost every camera points at driver instead of being positioned for external threats.

I have worked for a few companies but have never experienced such a high volume of staff, people don’t even do their notice they just get treated so bad they just don’t come back.

I thought the 4 day week would make it worth it but leaving here was the best decision I’ve ever made!
Pros
Most vans are newish
Cons
Poor money, poor hours, poor management
