This is a very poorly run company, the rota which is done by management is beyond the joke. Rota goes up, you go home at 6pm afterstarting at 5am and they have you down for a 5am start the next day. The next day you arrive at work only to notice the rota has been changed and you are now down for 7 or 8am start on a different route. A simple phone call would work, but that would be to much hard work. After working 8 hrs at most places your hourly rate usually goes up slightly, not at this place. It stays the same whether you work 12hr, days or nights, absolute robbery.
Apart from your uniform you are provided with no PPE, like protective gloves or waterproof clothing, even though you are are out in all condition using a tail lift most of the working day and moving steel cages and vaults by hand. Then theres the current fleet of HGV vehicles, they are old and mostly falling to bits. Drivers are expected to take their breaks and eat in these vehicles, but they are very dirty and management simply ignore this.
From what I witnessed I would very much doubt that a risk assesment has taken place for loading and unloading HGV vehicles, if it has then it is blatently ignored by senior management and other staff. There is not a safe working practice in place, if someone has not already been hurt or injured at this company, for sure somebody will one day.
Long hours, low pay for hours done, no time for family, friends or hobbies.
