Customer Assistant/Warehouse Operative (Current Employee) – Stevenage – 6 November 2014
A typical day at Screwfix would involve firstly taking in delivery from our shutters, then unloading all the stock (toats) into the warehouse.
throughout the day I would (as well as everybody else) scan and put away the stock from the delivery into its correct location within the warehouse. Whilst completing delivery the team and I would serve customers and or pick their Items from the warehouse. As the day becomes less busy I would then proceed to file off/dispatch any online orders that we had taken that hadn't already been cleared off our fusion data base. When there is any gap between jobs I regroup with my college's/managers to discuss any new ideas or relevant information that would contribute to the success of that particular days targets.
All the staff are fantastic to work with, many have become good friends of mine. We all work well together as a unit and great as individuals standing out.
My management are flexible and hardworking, however sometimes can lack communication with staff.
The hardest part of my job would be solving any complaints from customers, although challenging, I always manage to resolve the situation calmly and confidently. My favourite part of my job is seeing a customer leave happy and with the knowledge that they received fantastic customer service.
