Job culture
Hard work but rewarding.
Where I work, the culture is fairly positive and friendly. Most just get their heads down and get on with it. It's a pressurized environment so you need to be mentally and physically strong. No room for snowflakes.Management can be very pressurising to the point of bullying. Stand your ground.Depending on your route , you can walk 8-12 miles daily. You sort the mail in your frame, sort packet bags and your oversized too.Joining as we hit Xmas pressure with black Friday upon us and in the middle of a pandemic, means you need to hit the ground running. You must be able to organise yourself quickly, or the job becomes much harder. And you really need a high level of fitness
Pros
Well paid, good benefits, keep fit for free, out in the fresh air, respect from most customers
Cons
Pressure from management, pda fails in the wet, long hours in winter
