No this will not have an impact. Each of us reads, writes and works at a different pace. Royal Mail is an equal opportunities employer. They get an awful lot of applications for each vacancy. They take 5-10 applicants to the interview stage after they pass the assessment for each vacancy. The vacancy was probably filled from these first applicants. But generally, these people rarely last, as the job is tough. Keep applying. If it's the job for you, you'll get there eventually.

As it's a temp job you won't be allowed holidays as you'll be working 16 hours a week MAXIMUM

All days apart from Sundays and bank holidays i.e christmas and boxing day.

A lot of staff are taken on full time after the xmas period, if it fits the business need. You could just be covering a temporary staff shortage covering for sickness and holidays.
