A place where you can develop yourself tremendously
Community Care Assistant (Current Employee) – Birmingham – 11 February 2014
Routes healthcare is my first job in care and it has really helped me to put my skills learned in college into practice. They have given me support when needed even if it was needed at an instance at any given time support was there. Never are you alone with an issue and they always organised and try their best to work around your availability as well as making journeys easier for you.
I have learnt how to handle patients different behavior especially when they become aggressive. I have learnt to build a rapport with clients which makes them become more open to you as you are helping them which makes the job easier as the client will enjoy the service you provide.
Co- workers are very hard working and will put maximum efforts into providing excellent care, always willing to work and will put extra time in when they are needed.
The hardest part of the job to me is travelling to clients houses in bad weather conditions; apart from that i would recommend anybody interested in care work to apply there.
Many hours of work to offer
travel costs are not covered for public transport, drivers only get 20p per mile
