Due to the nature of the nuclear industry, management has placed undue effort on creating very cost-prohibitive processes to ensure no failures occur in any rotating equipment in the industry. The increased pricing has caused many plants to become less competitive in the power generation industry, and sales have dropped. That dip in sales have placed the company in an awkward situation, which has caused many layoffs and cost-cutting efforts.
