Care Worker/Support Worker (Current Employee) – Washington, Tyne and Wear – 6 March 2018
Excellent place to work where every staff member is valued. There are days that can be stressful but team pulls together and makes it work. You will go a long way to find management that are approachable and compassionate. Cqc report identifies this is a great work place. Shame about negative review previously clearly from disgruntled ex employee. Would highly recommend
Support Worker/Carer (Current Employee) – Washington, Tyne and Wear – 26 February 2018
A typical day at work is super stressful, management do not appreciate workers at all. Although working with the service users was enjoyable, the environment was not. Long hard hours, which again isnt appreciated and ALWAYS under staffed! Sometimes working a shift that is meant for 7 carers working at only 4! Management do not offer to help and also have favorites. Only thing which may be good is pay, however it is not worth the stress and long hours you may have to do to get this.
Support Worker (Former Employee) – Merseyside – 13 May 2017
What can I say about this company, glossy website leads you to believe that firstly they put all of their service users first (simply not true) service users are just a cash revenue to this company and management of staff is beyond poor! Thrown in at the deep end with little support or training and expected to split yourself in two daily, avoid this company at all costs!
Poor management, limited training, and long hours.
Scheme Manager/retirement living co ordinator (Former Employee) – Liverpool – 29 March 2017
The most enjoyable part of the job is housing people who need a home. the hardest part of the job is dealing with people who live in the accomodation and want to rule the other tenants. The new changes have broken the confidence of the tentants in the company Management. there is no typical day as you visit one place and may have to dash to another for an unforseen crisis then return to the orriginal place to carry out what ever duties you had scheduled.
Nursery Assistant (Former Employee) – Hereford – 28 August 2016
Riverside nursery was part of my work experience. The main things i learn't was you have to have a lot of patience with children and make sure they are safe all the time they are at nursery. The workers were very kind and helpful towards me. The hardest part of the job was when the children were being naughty and you had to tell them 'no' and they started crying. The most enjoyable part was when the children were all getting on together and having fun.
Learnt a lot but the higher up in the company ruined the workplace
Care Assistant (Former Employee) – North East – 14 July 2016
I used to love working here I loved all the service users and the staff. Our first manager was great and helped me so much however the higher up in the company went out of their way to drive her out and made life hard getting rid of people and replacing them with the faces they felt fit better. You worked long hours, had no life and gave everything and when you decide to move on as the place is just a mess they don't care and replace with inexperienced rude agency staff. Spoilt a great place to work and divided a tight brilliant team of staff. Well done riverside!
Had a great team
Long hours, no life, no appreciation from senior staff
