Our recruitment strategy is all about finding the people who will give excellent customer service which customers deserve and expect.

  • Dependent on the position, most of our colleagues work between 37.5-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Our office hours can vary from branch to branch but are classically 8am-5pm.

Some positions can qualify for overtime and as a result, some colleagues will work longer hours if they wish to.

  • We have such a diverse workplace that it completely depends on your job.

In many of our driving and technician roles, we provide you with the uniform that makes you look smart and in-line with our branding.

Our sales colleagues have the option of a uniform if they wish, but most wear their own choice of business dress. We aren't going to directly criticise your choices, it is for you to judge what is appropriate when approaching your clients.

In our offices, you'll most likely find a smart-casual dress code. No need for ties or full suits on a daily basis, but not too casual - we only see trainers on dress-down Fridays!

  • As a contingency for positions where we receive a large number of applications, we set a deadline of two weeks to respond to you. For the majority of applicants, this will be within a week of applying.

If you haven't received a response after 2 weeks, it would be best to make contact with the recruitment team, to let them know you haven't received a response and to tell them you're still interested in the position.

  • There are a great many ways to apply for a job vacancy with Rentokil Initial. We post vacancies on a host of job boards, such as Indeed, Reed, Facebook Jobs, Glassdoor, LinkedIn Jobs and many more. We also encourage referrals from our colleagues, so if you know someone on the inside, you should most definitely speak to that person about being referred.

The key to making the first stage of interviews is to put plenty of effort into the CV you submit, making sure the information is clear and easy to read and displays the skills you have that are needed in our job vacancy.

If you have made a strong application, you will be offered a telephone interview. We will want to know why this job is important to you, that you have done some background research into the company and why you would be a good fit into our family atmosphere. Without preparation, you are less likely to show us your qualities and therefore less likely to make it to the first stage of interviews.
